There will be times in your marriage when you find yourself doing things for your spouse that you’d really rather not do. I found myself there last night as I cleaned dried soup and sauce my wife dropped – and left – on the range while cooking.

Honestly, part of me thought, Why couldn’t she be more responsible and clean this mess up?

But, at the end of the day, it didn’t matter. It needed to be cleaned up, so I took care of it (plus she cleans up after me all the time). As I wiped the range I whispered, “This is for you, Allah
